A simple shopping bag made of a sturdy cotton canvas fabric and yet, through the print again quite individual.

This was created by hand in my little workshop and was also dabbed like this, individually on each bag, with a stencil stencil.

This shopper appears simple and purely finished.

 

Is it the combination of vegetable-tanned leather with waxed canvas in the typical autumnal colours?

As a bag for shopping at the weekly market, Cecil is definitely a good companion. Its size offers enough space and if it should rain, no problem. Thanks to the water-repellent properties of the oilskin fabric, this does not affect the robust bag or its contents.

The all-rounder.

Backpack, shoulder bag or just quickly grabbed by the short carry handle, all doable.

For small purchases, the walk to the weekly market or for the tablet which is needed at work or at university, no problem...

Inside, a mobile phone compartment and a zipped pocket keep things tidy. The additional compartment, closed by a zip on the outer back, is ideal for storing important things quickly and within easy reach, but securely.

Closed with a zip, the height of the backpack can be adjusted using the two small leather straps.

Again, I use the great mix of waxed canvas with vegetable tanned leather.

Only the flap with the eye-catching clasp and the partially hand-sewn seams are the small special details that underline the simplicity of this bag.

One of my first bags, the Madlen.

The small "mini shopper" can be worn as a shoulder bag or as a handbag.

The waxed canvas with its coarse grainy structure gives the bag its sporty look. This is underlined by the straps and trimmings made of vegetable-tanned leather, which also provide additional stability.

With a bright, sturdy lining, a zipped compartment and two additional slip pockets, it offers plenty of space for everyday essentials.
